Painting sessions are available on site with hot / cold beverages provided while you paint. Surrounded by rare fauna and rock formations, the turmultuous sea and uninterupted views. Malin Head is a favoured destination for art and photography enthusiasts worldwide.
Tours are available around Bambas Crown, the most northerly point of Ireland and the last headland before Greenland. From here you can see Tory Island, Horn Head, Bloody Foreland and Dunaff Head away to your west. To your northeast lies Inishtrahull Island with its isolated lighthouse and on a clear day, the Paps of Jura and the island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland are easily distinguishable.
Birdwatching -
The majestic peregrine falcon, which is the fastest moving creature on earth, makes it's home in the sea cliffs.
Snow Buntings feed on the ground above the cliffs.
A very large number of seabirds such as Fulmars, Guillemots, Gannets, Cormorants, Shags, Gulls, Terns and Storm Petrels.
Barnacle Geese can be seen there in large numbers during winter.
The Chough a member of the crow family with it's beautiful red bill and legs thrives on the Malin Head landscape.
Corncrakes which are an endangered species throughout Eurasia, come here each year to breed.
Malin Head's Bambas Crown is an excellent vantage point for migrating birds.
The local harbour of Malin ofers the best salmon, crab and lobster fishing in the north. While rock angling is a firm favourite in this area. Inishowen is a paradise for the sea angler, with excellent shark, bottom and wreck fishing grounds just off the coast. Wide variety of species.
The dramatic offshore waters of Malin Head are home to an outstanding catalogue of wrecks including magnificent liners, huge battleships and historic submarines.
We are situated near Inishowen's five magnificent golf courses. Ballyliffin Golf Course is the most northerly golf club in Ireland, with spectacular views of Inishowen and the Atlantic. With two 18 hole links courses, Ballyliffin is a challenging but rewarding stop for players of all abilities.
Take in the magnificent views and tranquil setting of Malin Head from the comfort of a saddle. There are a number of horse riding facilities in the area to choose from.
